“Cruel battles, an adult and gloomy story”: in Moon Studios they share the first details about No Rest for the Wicked
After the successful dilogy of the ORI platformer, developers from Moon Studios decided to change the genre that is familiar to themselves a little and present to the players something really unique. As part of The Game Awards, they presented their new project called No Rest For the Wicked. This is a dynamic role -playing game that promises to take the best developments of the studio and transform them into a large -scale project with various capabilities for players.
After a loud announcement, the developers from Moon Studios decided to talk more about the world No Rest for the Wicked and various features of the future project. Apparently, the team is aimed at creating "adult and gloomy" stories with many characters and events during a nonlinear story.
In No Rest For the Wicked, players take control of one of the mystical warriors with unique abilities – Kerim. Someone in the world calls them sectarians, but in fact they pursue a noble goal-to end a mor that destroys everything in its path. The main character should not only resist the comprehensive evil, but also participate in political showdowns and everyday life of people.
As for the gameplay part, the game is described as a complex action-rpg. Each battle can cost a hero’s life, so it is important to act deliberately and plan your actions, even during a dynamic battle.
Other remarkable features of No Rest for the Wicked:
- The game has the opportunity to buy real estate and personalize it;
- The world of the game provides the player with many opportunities, such as fishing, farming and craft;
- The developers promise a full -fledged cooperative regime with extensive capabilities for players;
- The first prototype No Rest for the Wicked appeared before the development of Ori and the Will of the Wisps, so many game mechanics were worked out for several years.
No Rest for the Wicked does not have a release date, but the game is promised for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. More details about the game, including gameplay, will appear on March 1, 2024 during a special presentation.
